Which services ABHA Design Studio offers?
– We offer a wide range of design services like Architectural Planning, Interior & Furniture Design, Façade Design, etc.
We are into design consultation only. We guide you, vendors, and contractors at various stages of the project till completion.
What type of projects do you do?
– We do a variety of projects like Residential, Commercial, Corporate, Institutional, Mixed-used Building, Hospitality, and Healthcare.
Which are the cities ADS provide services?
– “Design has no Boundaries.” Although currently, we are working in Maharashtra Region and we aim to thrive all across India.
What are your office timings?
– Monday to Friday, 10.30 AM to 7.30 PM • Saturday and Sunday Closed
Can you work with clients long distance?
– Yes! Absolutely. We also provide online services. The client needs to provide all necessary data for design such as plot measurements, existing building details if any. And yes, most importantly detailed requirements.
– We also provide outstation site visits at your request at nominal fees.
Do you accept projects on an urgent basis?
– NO.! We don’t do hurry.. As a design-oriented firm, we give attention to every detail to justify your requirements and design fees paid by you.
– Customising the design which fits you is usually time taking. Also, we are bound to our prior commitments, we give you a tentative schedule of stages of work.

Do you provide planning permission and building regulation approvals?
– NO! We don’t provide Liasoning services. To get approval from Sanctioning Authorities / Local Authority you will need a Liasoning Architect.
– While executing a project the principal architects takes care of detailed planning and coordinating with the consultants related to infrastructural services only. A Liasoning Architect plays an important role for the smooth execution and completion of a project. They are appointed to take care of the following services:
- Coordinating between the Sanctioning Authorities and Principal Architect
- Follow up with various departments and Government authorities
- Obtaining sanctions for the projects
- Fills the gap between the government offices, construction companies, and other related agencies
- Resolving various legal and other issues that are related to construction

Where do I begin?
– We are just a call or message away. Meet us anywhere, our office, your home, restaurant, cafe, etc. with your needs and all requirements. Tell us what you want and we will give you the best solution. We first understand your taste & expectations. Accordingly, we schedule our first initial consultation.
What if I’m not sure what I want?
– No worries! We are here to help you out. We will have some brainstorming sessions with a sip of coffee. We will enlist your likes & dislikes, your family background, your hobbies, etc. We analyze your needs and priorities and give you an optimum design solution.
What happens during our initial meeting?
– The initial consultation is a time for us to discuss your requirements and to see if you feel we are the right company for your project. At this time we will discuss your ideas and concepts and our experience and capabilities to deliver what you require. During the meeting, you will be given the opportunity to ask any questions or ask for clarification of anything that has been discussed.
How involved will I be?
– As we design space for you, your involvement is very important to deliver you the best outcome. We do not just impose a design on you, instead, we seek your involvement in the design process to achieve the best outcome.
– You will be involved at every stage right from scratch to concept planning, from designing to material selection. from execution to completion of the project. We are very flexible to serve what suites you.
FAQs about The Execution Process
How soon the execution will start?
– Any kind of execution will start only after completion of detail drawings approved by you.
– We advise starting execution after completion of the entire drawing set which results in speedup the construction work and getting the idea of an appropriate estimate.
– We also advise finalizing contractors and material vendors before the commencement of the work.
What kind of assistance will I get apart from designing?
– Material & Vendor
- You are requested to visit shops and showrooms (from our preferred vendors or vendors of your choice) to finalize the vendor for material selection.
- We will assist you with the material selection. Selection of any material in showrooms shortlisted by you is done mostly in one visit and rarely in a maximum of two visits.
- We give you the privilege to buy material from the vendor of your choice which suits your budget.
- We recommend you negotiate with vendors directly to avail discount.
– Labour Contractor
- We offer assistance to our clients during execution by explaining the design details to your chosen contractors.
- We allow you to choose your own contractor or our enlisted team. You can directly negotiate contractor to avail discount.
- After finalizing the work by the contractor, we will assist you to check the quality of executed work. Till then you can keep the contractor’s 10% on hold.
How often do you visit site during execution?
– We provide minimum 5 complimentary site visits during the entire project execution.
– Depending upon scale of the project, site visits may increase and we will provide you stage-wise schedule of visits.
– After complimentary site visits. when you need us, we visit a site at your request at nominal fees.
What will be the duration of project completion?
– Completion of the project depends upon various factors like availability of material, site condition, and proficiency of contractor.
– Completion time for each project is different and directly proportional to the scale and complexity of the project.
– We will provide you the tentative duration of the project completion once we issue all the drawings approved by you.
– Mostly, the timeline may extend due to changes in designs-concept, unavailability of material, selection of materials, and delayed payments to consultants, vendors, or contractors.
What is the preferred way of communication during the execution of the project?
– We are available on call, WhatsApp, and email.
– There will be situations where calls may remain unanswered due to any meetings and during selection visits with other clients.
– In such a situation, we recommend you to message on WhatsApp.
– For any set of changes, we suggest communication in written format via WhatsApp or email so that your comments will be recorded and don’t get missed out by us.
FAQs about The Budget & Fees
What will be my project cost?
– Project cost depends upon various factors:
- Your requirements
- The scope of work
- Specification of material
- As well as the choices you make!!
We design spaces as per your need and the requirements given by you. Once you approve the concept plan, we will provide you a preliminary estimate of the cost for your project. The actual cost of the project may vary with changes in design, material selection, and unexpected issues on site.
How do you charge for design & consultancy services?
– You can select all or part of our services as per your need and we will quote our fees depending on your requirements. We usually charge per square feet basis or quote fixed fees. Depending upon the project we may suggest a combination of both.
– GST extra as applicable.
Are there any charges which are not included in your fees?
Following charges are not included in our design consultation fees.
- Fees of other consultants like a structural designer, landscape consultant, graphic artist, HVAC, acoustical, and fire consultant, etc.
- Site visit charges after 5 complimentary visits.
- Visualization services like realistic 3D rendered view, walkthrough, etc.
Jointly with the client, we call quotations from required consultants and third-party service providers to maintain transparency. GST extra as applicable.
Do you charge for site visit during project execution?
– Generally, we provide 5 complimentary site visits during the entire project execution. You can request an additional visit, five working days prior to an appointment at nominal fees.
– The number of site visits assigned, depends on the scale and complexity of the project.
– In case of outstation visits within Maharashtra per day visit charges plus to and fro charges shall be paid by the client. The client needs to arrange accommodation for the principal architect as well as an associate for an on-site visit.
What is the schedule of payment?
– Stages of work and schedule of payment will be given at the time of the agreement.
Generally, payment is scheduled in 3 stages but may vary based on project typology.
- 25% advance at the time of project assigned against conceptual planning, theme, and mood board presentation.
- 50% payment to be released during the completion of detail working drawing.
- 25% fees to be release during different execution stages.
– You are requested to release payments within 7 days from the date of invoice.
– In case of pending dues, services will be blocked and are resumed right after the payment is made.
FAQs about Responsibilities and Rights
What are the responsibilities of ABHA Design Studio?
– As a design consultant, we are solely responsible for drawings issued by ABHA Design Studio and explaining drawings to the contractors and guide them. We are responsible to communicate with different consultants and guide them for the desired output.
– We are not responsible for any financial dealings between the Client and Contractors/Vendor.
– Regular supervision is not part of our service. The client shall appoint a site supervisor/site engineer for daily or weekly supervision.
As a client, What are our rights and responsibilities?
– You reserve full rights to choose the team of vendors and contractors from your reference or from our preferred list of vendors and contractors, according to the budget or any other applicable criteria.
– You reserve full rights for negotiating rates and for obtaining any discount from vendors and contractors.
– You are solely responsible for timely payments to the vendors and contractors to avoid any delays.
– You are requested to payments directly to the respective vendors and contractors. ADS does not accept any payment on behalf of the vendor/contractor to maintain utmost transparency in financial dealings.
– Supervisor shall be appointed by the client to supervise work on a regular basis and shall report the Architect weekly.
What are the responsibilities of Contractors?
– All drawings shall be studied and understood by the Client and Contractor and clarifications shall be sought out prior to the execution of the work.
– All dimensions shall be checked and any ambiguity shall be immediately brought to notice of the Architect before the commencement of work.
Who is responsible for the quality of material and work of the contractor?
– Respective vendor is responsible for the inferior quality of material, pricing, and delay in supply of the product. ABHA Design Studio is not responsible for the same.
– ADS shall not be held responsible for wrong execution, finishing, and any delays by the contractor.
– As a design consultant, we are solely responsible for explaining drawings to the contractors and guide them.
– ADS shall not be held responsible for mistakes arising due to improper understanding of the drawings.
FAQs about Client and Architect Relationship
What's my role in the design process?
– Your architect will depend on you to communicate about your design preferences, functional requirements, and budget. Your timely response to questions and design submissions will help keep the project on track. It is also important for you to raise any concerns you have as the project proceeds, so they can be addressed in the earliest stages. Working in partnership with your architect, you will help achieve a successful outcome for your project.
At what point in my project should I involve an architect?
– As soon as you decide you want to begin planning your project, you should start looking for an architect. Architects provide important pre-design services including site evaluation, and can help you explore options you may not have considered. Involving an architect early in the process can help avoid costly missteps, and increase the likelihood of your satisfaction with the project.
What services do architects provide?
– Architects see the big picture when it comes to your project. They help you explore what appeals to you aesthetically and what you require functionally. They coordinate teams of design, engineering and construction professionals; they sort through the maze of building codes and zoning requirements; they provide design leadership so that your project is built the way it was intended.
How can I check an architect is genuine?
– We are registered in Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi. Also we are Associate member of Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) and Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID).
– You can find a list of architects on the Council of Architecture which holds the information for every registered architect in India. To be listed on these sites you have to be an architect and there is a professional code of conduct that you are expected to follow.
